Carer Gateway is a national support service funded by the Australian Government.
By calling Carer Gateway, you will be connected with a new Australia-wide network of Carer Gateway service providers. They will talk through what you need and help you to find local services and support to help you.
Little Dreamers is currently a Carer Gateway service provider in Queensland and parts of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, delivering programs specifically designed for Young Carers.
Who can access Carer Gateway?
If you support a loved one who has a disability, mental health condition, chronic health condition, terminal illness, or is frail due to age you can access free support via the Carer Gateway.
You don’t need to be a new carer to use the Carer Gateway services – any carer can use the services at any time in their caring journey.
What services are available for carers?
Carer Gateway provides a range of services and supports delivered both in person and online. These include; Counselling, Peer Support, Respite Care, Carer Directed Support, Self-Guided Coaching, In Person Coaching, and Skills Courses.
Little Dreamers programs that are covered by the Carer Gateway in some regions include Peer Support, Holiday Programs and Big Dreamers.
Young Carers must be registered for support with Little Dreamers to take part in these programs. Complete the Application for Support form and when you speak to one of our team ask them more about the Carer Gateway.
