My Day-to-Day

When I come home from school, I help mum with checking the mailbox, cooking dinner and cleaning up. I also do a lot of chores around the house to make it easier for mum, like helping with the laundry, dishes and grocery shopping. If we go to the shops, I am always there to help my mum to walk and get around.

Little Dreamers has created the opportunity to meet new people and other Young Carers, showing me that I’m not alone in being a young person who cares for a family member and has lots of extra responsibilities. I have loved meeting new people and playing the games in the weekly Hour of Power sessions, as well as Holiday Programs. It’s awesome to know that I’m connecting with other young people from right across Australia.
